Arrested at 7:04 PM for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Obstruction of Breathing. Defendant was involved in a domestic dispute at 31 John Street where he got into a verbal fight with the victim which led to the defendant grabbing and pulling the victim’s hood attached to the hoody obstructing the airway. Defendant was arrested and issued appearance tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Arrested at 8:46 PM for Disorderly Conduct – Obscene Language. The defendant was being questioned about another incident when he began yelling and swearing while in the presence of other individuals, he was advised to stop and he did not comply, continuing to yell and swear. Arrested at 8:21 AM for Improper Plates, Unregistered Motor Vehicle, Operating without Insurance and Uninspected Motor Vehicle following a traffic stop. Defended was operating a 1998 Dodge Pick-up truck on Jefferson St. and was stopped following a trespassing complaint, upon the traffic stop the operator was found to be operating a vehicle with improper plates, no license plate or singular plate, an unregistered motor vehicle, operating without insurance and an uninspected motor vehicle. Defendant was issued uniform traffic tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Arrested at 12:43 PM for Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance 5th degree (felony) and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell (felony). Defendant was arrested for the sale of methamphetamine in the Village of Gouverneur. Defendant was arraigned at the St. Lawrence County Court before Judge Storie and held at the St. Lawrence County Jail until further notice. Investigation was assisted by the St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force and St. Lawrence County DA’s Office.

Arrested at 12:02 AM for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance – 7th Degree (2 Counts). Defendant was charged following a welfare check on a male who was passed out at the wheel of a Green Saturn Vue in the Stewarts parking lot on East Main Street in Gouverneur. Further investigation revealed that the defendant possessed two small containers consisting of white crystal like substance in plain view which field tested positive for fentanyl. Defendant was issued an appearance ticket with a Gouverneur Town Court date.

Jameel J. Mazab, 20, Auburn, NY

Arrested for criminal possession of cannabis 3rd – more than 16 oz and criminal possession of cannabis 3rd – more than 5 oz. As a result of an illegal sale of marijuana to an underage person as well a sale of marijuana without the appropriate New York State licenses. A search warrant was conducted at 101 East Main Street Gouverneur New York, the Exit 420 Smoke Shop and approximately 8.18 ounces of unregulated concentrated cannabis and approximately 800 grams of unregulated cannabis flower was seized. As a result the defendant being the sales clerk and the sole occupant within the business at the time of the execution of the search warrant was found to be in possession of the aforementioned cannabis and cannabis infused products. Defendant was issued appearance tickets with a Gouverneur Town Court date.
