To the Editor:

I write in support of Ronnie Robert for Town Supervisor of Colton. As a town councilman, Ronnie has been responsive to the needs of the citizens of Colton and has always been available to discuss and seek to resolve any issues citizens might have, speaking with them for hours on the phone both day and night. Ronnie is also business-friendly, and encourages the initiatives of citizens to open new businesses in the town and so provide jobs to residents.

Ronnie is determined to fight the action against the Town of Colton by Erie Boulevard Hydropower, which is owned by Brookfield Renewable Partners. Erie Boulevard/Brookfield is attempting to shift its property-tax burden onto the shoulders of the homeowners of Colton by seeking an enormous reduction in the assessed value of its extremely profitable hydroelectric dams. Many of the residents of Colton are retirees living on a fixed income who are already under inflationary pressures and can ill-afford the astronomical increase in their property taxes that will result from Erie Boulevard/Brookfield's action, if it proceeds without effective challenges.

A veteran and former business-owner, Ronnie will bring to the office of Town Supervisor integrity, dedication, transparency, and a fierce determination to defend the interests of the citizens of Colton. Vote for Ronnie Robert on Primary Day, June 22.
