To the Editor:

On Wednesday, at 9:35 p.m., our Congresswoman Elise Stefanik spoke at the Republican National Convention. She started her speech by giving a shout out to the district she represents, saying Northern New York was “the cradle of the American Revolution.”

It was amazing that our area got a shoutout on National television, I feel like most think of Albania when they hear Upstate NY.

Congresswoman then continue giving accolades to our President, saying: “President Trump has fought tirelessly to deliver results for all Americans, despite the Democrats’ baseless and illegal impeachment sham and the media’s endless obsession with it,”

And she didn’t stop there, “This attack was not just on the president. It was an attack on you – your voice and your vote.”

This short segment reminded me that Elise stands for her district, most of her talking points were about the North Country’s history. She prioritizes us in her legislation and workings in congress. She also stands for a president who prioritizes the people above all else.

We need to stand for these two amazing people because we know they will continue to prioritize and stand up for us.
