To the Editor:
On behalf of the St. Lawrence County Historical Association I would like to thank everyone who helped to make our Genealogy & Local History Fair on October 21st a success: Presenters and exhibitors Tom LaClair (Jefferson County Genealogical Society), Bill Hull, Joanne Swift (Potsdam LDS Library), Chuck Henry (Northern NY Library Network), Roberta Yeager (Witherbee & Whalen), Rita Goldberg, Charlie Shene, Mark Friden (Town of Clifton Historian & Registrar), Norm Young, Stan Maine, Roger Hutchinson, John Austin, United Empire Loyalists, Daughters of the American Revolution, the St. Lawrence County Clerk’s office, DeKalb Historical Association, Potsdam Public Museum, and Carl & Dorothy Goodrich (Town of Brasher historians).
I would especially like to thank the St. Lawrence Valley Genealogical Society for partnering with the SLCHA and for the many volunteers who helped before, during, and after the fair.
And mostly importantly, thank you to volunteers Pat Dominie and Natalie Aldrich for the many months of planning which made this event a reality.
We already have lots of new and different ideas for an even bigger and better Genealogy & Local History Fair in 2018!
Sue Longshore
