To the Editor:
Kudos to both Tim Savage and Vernice Church for their many dedicated years serving on the board of The Orchestra of Northern New York. Both Tim and Vernice have represented this area for many years as educators and leaders. We have all benefited from their leadership and dedication to their chosen professions as music director and school superintendent (after her retirement Vernice served as interim and long-term interim superintendent of schools for several school districts in St. Lawrence County).
Tim for his position as instrumental music director at Canton Central School and his expertise as a performing sax player. This area is so very fortunate to be the home of the Crane School of Music and its excellent facilities providing a home for The Orchestra of Northern New York, led by The Music Director, Maestro Kenneth Andrews.
Thank you, Tim, and Vernice for your long and dedicated service to ONNY and to the world of music in the north country.
