To the Editor:
The American Legion Riders of Post #925 (Norfolk) would like to thank the local veterans organizations, businesses, and community for their stellar support year after year. We are looking at a strange new riding season with health concerns and restrictions. We stand ready to continue to support our local veterans and our local communities, and we encourage you to do the same.
Please keep in mind that there will be more motorcycles on the roads as the weather improves and ask that you stay vigilant while driving. If you see a long column of motorcycles riding in formation, please understand that it is most likely a charity ride or funeral escort. We ask that you remain patient and do not try to pull out into a formation.
As we celebrate our 15th year as a service organization, we hosted our annual charity ride, starting from the American Legion in Norfolk. We rode in support of Vets Peer to Peer Outreach on July 11.
If you would like to donate to our Vets Peer to Peer Charity Ride, you can send a check to the address below, payable to the “American Legion Riders Post #925” with ‘Vets Peer to Peer Outreach’ in the memo section.
Ride easy,
Thomas Morrison
