Opinion: Canton VFW devoted to veterans, says Morristown woman

I recently attended a graveside service in the Ogdensburg Cemetery. The deceased was a Veteran from WWII.The Canton VFW was there to honor the deceased. These gentlemen are very devoted in honoring service people. They took time out of their busy schedules to be sure to honor the deceased. The group had to travel to attend the service. They do not do this for monetary reasons. These men participate out of respect for their service brothers.

Hopefully some younger people will become involved in the VFW posts and continue to pay respect for those who defended and continue to protect our liberties and freedom.

A heartfelt thanks goes out to the Canton VFW. The service is an excellent tribute and honors our deceased Veterans for service to our country. Members of the VFW that continue to do these services for fallen comrades should continue to receive numerous accolades for their outstanding dedication.
