OGDENSBURG -- Madison Knapp, a senior at Ogdensburg Free Academy, has been named The Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month for April.
Madison was nominated for the Student of the Month award by Amber Henry, her Earth Club Advisor, who had this to say about her, “Madison has been an unbelievable asset to the Earth Club this year. She is an amazing leader and works very hard to keep everyone updated and organized with whatever we are doing. She is always willing to help other students with anything they need. She has been so helpful to me this year organizing trips and leading hikes. Madison is so enthusiastic about everything she has learned in her BOCES class and is very eager and willing to share the information with anyone who asks. It is very refreshing to have a student so excited about her education and willing to share it with others.”
Madison is a student in the Natural Resources Management Program at Northwest Tech in Ogdensburg. She plans to attend Paul Smith’s College in the fall, majoring in Disaster Management and Response.
Madison received a $25 check from Ed-Med Federal Credit Union, a Certificate of Achievement from OFA and a plaque from the Greater Ogdensburg Chamber of Commerce.
The Student of the Month Program is sponsored by Jones Insurance Agency and Ed-Med Federal Credit Union.
