The National Guard Adjutant General for the State of New York has announced the promotions of North Country members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their capability for additional responsibility and leadership.
• Lateia Gravett from Russell, assigned to the Company B (Maintenance), 427th Brigade Support Battalion, received a promotion to the rank of Private First Class.
• Morgan Ward from Hermon, assigned to the Company B (Maintenance), 427th Brigade Support Battalion, received a promotion to the rank of Private.
• Devon Willard from Heuvelton, assigned to the 1427th Transportation Company, received a promotion to the rank of Private First Class.
• Jaden Sackett from Potsdam, assigned to the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2-101 Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition), received a promotion to the rank of Private First Class.
Army National Guard promotions are based on overall performance, attitude, leadership ability, and development potential.
The New York National Guard (New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs) consists of nearly 20,000 members of the New York Army National Guard, the New York Air National Guard, the New York Naval Militia and the New York Guard.
