OGDENSBURG -- Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center has recognized Palliative Care Coordinator Michelle Camarda, and all the excellent care she provides to inpatients who choose to go on palliative care.
Camarda provides decision-making support combined with emotional support that patients and families need most when facing a serious illness or end of life. She also assists with the completion of Medical Orders for Life-sustaining Treatment (MOLST) forms and advance directives which honor patient preference, a critical element in providing quality end-of-life care.
Camarda also facilitates the CHMC’s monthly Grief Support Group.
