MADRID — The "Ride for a Voice" non-profit organization is hosting a "Walk for a Voice" benefit to raise money and awareness for suicide on May 22.
This event will be held on the track at the Madrid-Waddington Central School from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
There is no set amount of miles/laps participants need to do.
Anyone who raises $50 or more will receive a free t-shirt.
Registration begins at 11 a.m.
Those walkers without sponsors are asked to just make a donation instead.
All money raised will go to the new crisis center in Ogdensburg run by Citizens Advocate and Madrid New Beginnings.
There will be a 50/50 raffle, basket raffles and the key club will be there selling refreshments.
