OGDENSBURG – The next meeting of the Bariatric Support Group at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center on Thursday, March 3, will feature a presentation on vitamins and supplements.
Heidi Valley, New England manager for Bariatric Advantage, is scheduled to do a presentation on vitamins and supplements.
The group meets on the first Thursday of each month from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center’s conference room A & B, next to the Cornerstone Cafe.
The bariatric support group provides an opportunity to discuss personal issues that arise from surgery or from a history of obesity. It can help you develop realistic expectations that weight loss surgery will not immediately resolve existing emotional difficulties or heal the years of damage caused by a lifetime of being overweight.
Post-bariatric surgery patient Donna Hynes is the group’s facilitator. All are welcome to attend. Registration is not necessary.
For more information, Hynes can be reached at 344-7113.
