BRASHER FALLS – The 47th annual Tri-Town Winter Carnival “Light up the Night” will be held in the communities of Brasher Falls, North Lawrence, Lawrenceville, Winthrop and Helena from Friday, Feb. 21-Sunday, Feb. 23.

The event, organized by the Tri-Town Chamber of Commerce, will feature the chamber’s opening dinner, music, a bikini snowmobile rally, cornhole tournament, poker runs, barbecue, Kid’s Zone, fireworks, parade and a charity hockey game.

Big highlights this year include the carnival’s Snow Baby Pageant held Saturday, Feb. 22 from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Riverview Restaurant. There will be six categories for entrants and a participation prize for each child. The pageant will also feature three cash drawings.

Other Saturday events include the annual Snowmobile Poker Run from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. revving off from the Pit Stop Diner, and the night parade starting with line-up at Elliot’s Agway later at 6:15 p.m.

Friday, Feb. 21

Snowman contest, 4 p.m. deadline, at Hammill Funeral Home, Tri-town.

Opening dinner, ticket required, 6-11 p.m., Riverview Bar and Grill, Brasher Falls; cocktails 6-7 p.m., crowning of royalty 7 p.m., chicken parmesean dinner 7:15 p.m., entertainment by Completely Stranded comedy troupe 8-9:30 p.m.

Coloring contest deadline, 9 p.m., The Riverview.

Music with a D.J., 10 p.m.-2 a.m., The Riverview.

Saturday, Feb. 22

Snowshoe & cross-country ski poker run, 9-10 a.m., DEC Building on Vice Road, Brasher Falls.

Longest icicle contest, 9-10:30 a.m., The Riverview’s Brasher Room.

Kegs n’ Eggs Breakfast, 9 a.m.-12 p.m., Riverview Restaurant.

Craft fair, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., middle school gym/cafeteria, Brasher Falls.

Hot chocolate and crafts, 10-11 a.m., Brasher Falls Municipal Library.

Freezin’ for a Reason Snowmobile Bikini Rally, registration 11 a.m., drags 1:00 p.m., Lawrenceville Fire Hall.

Cornhole, $25 entry, registration 10 a.m., games 1 p.m., Lawrenceville Fire Hall.

Snowmobile poker run, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., held rain or shine, snow or mud; stops at Brushton American Legion, Riverview, High Peaks Winery in Winthrop, Cedar View in Helena, The Jug in North Lawrence, Winthrop American Legion, and ends at The Pit Stop Diner in North Lawrence; Chinese raffle at The Pit Stop to benefit North Lawrence Recreation.
