PARISHVILLE -- Lou and Sandy Maine will host a tour of their solar-powered homestead Saturday, April 21 at 9 a.m., followed by an optional vineyard planting work party.
Five cold-hearty test varieties of grapes will be planted. Those planting should bring their lunch.
The day ends with a wine tasting hosted by Matt Whalen, owner of High Peaks Winery, and a barbecue of farm-raised meat.
Donation of $10 to $20, or $5 for students, is suggested to benefit the Local Living Venture program of the Sustainable Living Project.
