St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum's Spring Exhibition set in Madrid

MADRID -- The St. Lawrence Power & Equipment Museum, 1755 SH 345, will host the 38th annual Old Time Spring Exhibition on Saturday and Sunday, June 12 and 13.

The event will feature antique engines, tractors, cars and trucks, sawmill, shingle mill, early textiles as well as blacksmith demonstrations.

All the museum’s original and replica structures will be open including an 1835 log cabin, 1850 one-room schoolhouse, shoe repair shop, equine education building, maple sugar house, carriage barn featuring the Harden collection, print shop, Walker granary, the Goolden-Mann Farmstead, milk house, chicken house, windmill, gas station, fort tribute, and Civil War center.

There will also be wagon rides, attic treasures, kid’s pedal tractor games, raffles, and great food all day.

Saturday’s featured events include an Old Iron auction from 2 to 4 p.m.; a raffle and 50/50 concluding at 2:30 p.m. and a ham dinner from 4:30 to 6 p.m.

Sunday’s featured events include a church service in the tractor building from 7:30 to 8 a.m.; breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. in the food pavilion with a President’s address; an antique tractor pull from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; a BBQ chicken dinner from noon until sold out; and raffle and 50/50 concluding at 2:30 p.m.

The gates will open at 9 a.m. Admission is $5, under 12 free.
