As North Country residents head into summer, library staff from St. Lawrence and several other counties are offering a six-week online summer reading program for children and teens this year.
The theme of the shared program is “Imagine Your Story,” and it runs from July 6 through Aug. 14.
This innovative approach allows families to participate in summer reading challenges offered by their local library while also having access to imaginative, educational programs from other participating libraries.
A shared events calendar can be found at www.ncls.org/summer.
In addition to offering virtual programming, the North Country Library System e-book collection has been expanded to support reading throughout the summer.
Readers can request children’s and young adult titles be added to the collection by using this form: https://tinyurl.com/nclsread
