CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County Animal Response Team (CART) is a volunteer program that provides a coordinated local response to situations in which animals may need to be rescued, sheltered, transported, united or cared for.
Volunteers are required to complete a minimum amount of training including CART Orientation Training, ICS 100 – Introduction to Incident Command Systems, NIMS 700- Introduction to National Incident Management Systems, and HazMat Awareness.
To learn more about volunteering, attend the next training Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 6-8 p.m. at Cornell Cooperative Extension, 2043B State Highway 68, Canton.
The training will cover NIMS 700.
Attending a training does not result in an obligation or commitment.
