CANTON -- North Country Public Radio has rescheduled its annual Spring Fundraiser to begin on Wednesday, May 6, and end on Friday, May 15.

NCPR’s “You’re Essential” campaign will spotlight the work the station has done to connect the North Country during the COVID-19 crisis, and the part supporters play to make it possible.

In March, NCPR postponed its Spring Fundraiser to dedicate all its resources to covering the coronavirus crisis and to serving the needs of the people and communities of the North Country.

The station constructed several remote broadcast and production studios to ensure staff members would be able to work safely, added additional daily newscasts, launched a live blog to track developments throughout the day, and compiled an online database to connect people with resources, from food banks to small business assistance.

NCPR’s goal for the drive is $250,000, an amount that is vital in the station’s effort to maintain its high level of service through the current public health crisis and continue serving the North Country as it works to recover.
