CANTON – St. Lawrence University will again host a series of monthly organ recitals at the lunch hour in Gunnison Memorial Chapel, featuring Musician-in-Residence Sondra Goldsmith Proctor.
The first event in the academic year will be at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, featuring the music of Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah.
Bring a lunch to eat.
Featured are pieces for the organ by Samuel Adler, Oskar Gottlieb Blarr, William Bolcom and Herman Berlinski, along with a piece for the flute by Ernest Bloch and featuring Associate Professor of Philosophy Laura Rediehs, on the flute, and the Ad Hoc Singers.
