OGDENSBURG – The Frederic Remington Art Museum announces two juried art exhibits: the 2011 Members' Juried Art Exhibit and the 2011 International Juried Art Exhibit.

The 2011 Members' Juried Art Exhibit is open to all artists who are members of the Frederic Remington Art Museum. While the exhibit's intent is to reward and celebrate the museum's member artists, new members are received on equal footing with long established ones. This exhibit is open without restrictions other than membership. Each artist may submit an image of up to three works of art, one of which is guaranteed to be accepted. Cash prizes will be awarded. The deadline is April 4, and the exhibit dates are May 14 – Sept. 11, 2011.

The 2011 International Juried Art Exhibit has more restrictions and is more competitive. All artists 18 years and older living within a 100-mile radius of Ogdensburg are encouraged to submit work. This area includes Watertown, Rome, the tri-lakes region, and Plattsburgh, as well as the southwestern outskirts of Montreal, the Ottawa region, and Kingston, Ontario. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional works made within the last two years are eligible including paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, photographs, computer generated art, and mixed media. The deadline is Aug. 22, and the exhibit dates are Sept. 24, 2011 through Jan. 14, 2012.
