Potsdam Public Museum will be open Tues.-Thurs.

POTSDAM - Beginning Tuesday, May 18, the Potsdam Public Museum will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required. The public is invited to visit an exhibit, “Can You Hear Me Now? A History of Telecommunications.”

The museum is also celebrating its 81st anniversary with a mini-exhibit. The museum was founded in 1940 to house a collection of English pottery that was given to the Village of Potsdam by Frank and Harriet Call Burnap.  Originally located in the basement of its current home, the museum collection quickly grew, and its services expanded.

Staff is available to help with genealogy and local history research. Call 315-265-6910 for more information.
