POTSDAM – Three Potsdam High School student music groups will present a Fall Concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16 in the Potsdam High School Auditorium. Admission is free, and the community is invited to share in the accomplishments of these young people.

String Ensemble, under the direction of Jill Savage, will perform the famous "Pachelbel Canon" ("Canon and Gigue" by Johann Pachelbel) and an "Allegro in D" by Vivaldi.

Wind Ensemble, directed by Theresa Witmer will play the first movement of Gustav Holst's composition for band, "First Suite in Eb."

The group will also play the piece they performed at a Crane clinic earlier this fall, "Cajun Folk Songs," by Frank Ticheli. At the clinic, Potsdam's Wind Ensemble was one of three area bands to perform and work with guest conductors Anthony Maiello and Timothy Topolewski.

Concert Choir, under the direction of Tammara Madeja will sing "Three Madrigals" by Emma Lou Diemer, "Gartan Mother's Lullaby" by Neil Ginsberg with Kelsey Travis on flute and Ariana Frascatore on piano, and "O Sifuni Mungu" by David Maddox.
