POTSDAM – The Orchestra of Northern New York will open its 24th season with a program of popular Russian compositions Saturday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m., in Hosmer Hall, SUNY Potsdam.
To open the new season Music Director and Conductor Kenneth Andrews has selected two of the most popular pieces in the classical repertoire. Andrews will begin the program with the uplifting Suite from the ballet Swan Lake, Op. 20, by Tchaikovsky.
The second half of the program will feature Scheherazade, Op.35, the stirring masterpiece by Rimsky-Korsakov based on the amazing stories from The Arabian Nights.
Ticketing services for this event are provided by the Community Performance Series and are available by contacting 267-2277, or www.onny.org. Tickets may also be purchased at Northern Music and Video in downtown Potsdam.
Ticket prices are $18 for adults, $16 for seniors, students $10, and children 12 and under are free.
