OGDENSBURG – The Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad is planning a Polar Bear Plunge, bowling tournament and an ice fishing derby to raise funds for their new building.
The Polar Bear Plunge, during River Shiver, is set for noon Feb. 12 at the Dobisky Center.
The no-tap bowling tournament will be held at the Ogdensburg Bowling Alley, Patterson Street, Feb. 13. The cost is $75 per team, or $15 per player, with a maximum of five bowlers on a team. Register at the bowling alley or call Allison Hall at 528- 5242.
The sixth annual ice fishing derby on Wheathouse Bay is Feb. 19 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will pay $20, $10 for a child. people can register on site or pre-register at the Ogdensburg Volunteer Rescue Squad Building, 101 State St.
The squad is also running a 50/50 raffle for $1 per ticket, available from Rescue Squad members or at the squad building. The raffle ends Feb. 28.
