PAUL SMITHS — Norwood musician David Wells, the singer/songwriter, guitarist, and percussionist from Wells and the Gathering, will perform at Paul Smith's VIC 8023 State Route 30, on Feb. 5 from 2-4 p.m.
Wells' performance is part of the VIC’s free winter concert series. Live music will be hosted at the VIC every Saturday from Jan. 8 through March 26 (except for Feb. 12). Visitors can take a break after skiing on the VIC trails and enjoy some tunes from local and regional musicians.
Well’s music career began when playing with local bands in high school, and continued when he attended the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.
Since graduating from Crane, David has become an accomplished songwriter and has produced two solo recordings.
He spent some time out of the area, working and performing as a drummer and as a singer/songwriter. In the early 2000s he moved back to the North Country and continues to play at a variety of local and regional venues.
Wells performs alone as well as joining other musicians under the name of Dave Wells and The Gathering.
He has also played with Community Performance Series and Northern Symphonic Winds.
