NORFOLK — The Norfolk Rod and Gun Club will host a rabbit hunt on Jan. 7.
Hunters can pre-register until 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6 at Merriman’s Lumber in Norwood, Al Smith’s Superette in Norfolk, and White’s Hardware in Potsdam.
Registration on the day of the event will be at the clubhouse on Cemetery Road from 7-10 a.m. Entry fee for each hunter is a $20 non-refundable donation to support the club.
Prizes will be drawn from eligible entries in the adult and youth (ages 12-15) categories.
Multiple door prizes will be available to win.
Each hunter will only need one rabbit — snowshoe or cottontail — to be eligible for prizes. There will be no weigh-in.
The kitchen will be open with homemade chili, hamburgers, hotdogs, pulled pork, Mac & cheese, desserts and hot and cold refreshments.
