Norfolk library offering adult book club, Halloween Festival, story hour this month

NORFOLK – Fall session of Story Hour, Adult Book Club, and Halloween Festival are all offered in September at Hepburn Library of Norfolk.

Fall session of Story Hour meets weekly on Wednesday, starting Sept. 15, at 9:30 a.m. through December. Pre-K children and their families are invited to join the library for a story, craft and more.

Adult Book Club will have its first meeting Sept. 22 at 6pm. September's book is “Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman. Copies of the book are available to checkout at the library.

The Library is participating in Norfolk’s Halloween Festival. A special Halloween story hour with Halloween stories and goodies is planned Oct. 1 at 5 p.m., followed by the Candy Hunt in the park.

The Library will also hold a book sale Oct. 2 from 9 a.m.-noon during the Halloween festival. All books are $1.00 to fill a bag, proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library.

Unvaccinated are required to wear masks in the library, per library policy at this time. Dates/Times are subject to change as things evolve with COVID-19. Please check the library Facebook or website for more details.
