MASSENA – Nicandri Nature Center will host a program on bats Aug. 19 starting at 7:30 p.m. Participants will learn about the natural history of bats and find out what bats live in our region.
Following the presentation, participants will head out on the trail as bats emerge for the night and attempt to identify species flying overhead using an acoustic bat detector.
This popular nature center program is open to all ages and is free of charge. There is a .25 mile walk on the trail during the program.
