Morristown compehensive plan open for discussion at April 23 public meeting

MORRISTOWN -- Residents of the Town and Village of Morristown are encouraged to attend a public meeting on Tuesday, April 23, at 6 p.m. at the Morristown Fire Hall, 200 Morris St.

The St. Lawrence County Planning Office is preparing a comprehensive plan for Morristown to help guide the future growth and development of the community.

In November a number of individuals attended the first meeting for the development of this plan.

The April meeting will be an opportunity to come and see what ideas were generated, to comment on an outline for the plan, and to tell the planning office what you would like Morristown to look like in 10 years.

The meeting will be held at the Morristown Fire Hall, 200 Morris St., on April 23, 6 p.m.

For more information, contact Supervisor Frank Putman at 315-783-4790, Mayor Cheryl Shatraw at 315-375-8844, or Jason Pfotenhauer of the St. Lawrence County Planning Office at 315-379-2292.
