MASSENA -- The First United Methodist Church in Massena, 189 Main St., is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the laying the cornerstone of its church building on June 8 and 9.
Plans for the weekend are listed below and are free and open to all members of the community:
• Saturday, June 8 -- 2-4 p.m. pack 150 flood buckets and 150 health kits at the fellowship hall, bounce houses, gaga pit games in the parking lot; 5-6 p.m. ice cream social; 6-8 p.m. Classic Country Band in the fellowship hall;
• Sunday, June 9 -- 9:30 a.m. meet and greet visitors and friends and enjoy coffee and donuts; 10:30 a.m. special organ music by Josh Barkley; 11 a.m. worship.
