HANNAWA FALLS -- Helping Hands food pantry will be open from 5-7 p.m. Tuesdays, June 25, July 30, Aug. 27 and Sept. 24.
Residents of Potsdam, Madrid, Norfolk, Norwood, Stockholm, Winthrop, Hopkinton, Parishville, Colton, Pierrepont and Clare are encouraged to come to 5868 Rt 56 in Hannawa Falls to get needed groceries to help feed their families.
"We realize that many people work days and cannot come to Helping Hands during the work day. With kids on summer recess and not getting fed at school many families struggle to feed their kids this time of year. Another factor is the cost of babysitting and or day care. We are trying to make our food pantry more accessible to people who work full time, and yet still need a little help feeding their kids," said Helping Hands Executive Director Tom Chappell.
