CANTON — Youth, college students, and adults are all welcome to attend a free, special self-defense and safety class on Thursday, March 16, from 6-7 p.m. at the Riley Room at the Canton Pavilion.
The hour-long session will present effective methods that assist a person in recognizing, avoiding, countering, and escaping from aggressive encounters.
Participants will learn how to protect themselves against physical and verbal assaults.
Applying techniques necessary in remaining safe will be the focus of the evening’s practices.
No previous self-defense training is required to take part in the safety seminar.
Loose clothing and athletic footwear is advised.
