MASSENA – A free moonlight ski and snowshoe event is being offered at the Nicandri Nature Center Sat., Jan. 15, with free equipment rental also.
Starting at 5:30, free equipment loans of skis and snowshoes are available to those who need it. Four kindershuttles with enclosed sleds can be pulled by skiers or snowshoers are now also for loan at the center, on a first come, first serve basis.
Groups with staff members will depart the nature center at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. for guided tours. All must go with a guided group, and masks are required.
The event also includes a hot chocolate station and an outdoor fire to warm up.
The center will also be open to explore.
