OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum is joining a national day of generosity, #GivingTuesdayNow on May 5.
It’s a day when supporters can positively impact the museum and help it respond to the unprecedented need caused by the coronavirus, said a press release.
With the absence of visitors and in-person fundraisers, the museum income is limited to shop sales and philanthropy.
The museum continues its social media presence and virtual exhibits, such as the recently opened 2020 Members' Juried Art Exhibit.
With donations, the Frederic Remington Art Museum will be able to sustain itself during this time of need, the press release said. There is no gift too small.
Ways to participate include:
• Making a gift in honor of #GivingTuesdayNow
• Helping get the word out on social media
• Sharing photos and reasons why the organization means so much to you on a social platform.
