OGDENSBURG -- The Frederic Remington Art Museum reopened Monday, July 6.

The Museum will be open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m.

The following safety measures are in place to keep employees and guests safe:

Enjoy a contactless visit. Pre-pay online or at the Museum.

Masks are required for Museum entry (including staff) and must be worn throughout your visit. If you do not have a mask, or your mask becomes damaged during your visit, a basic surgical mask will be provided.

Guests are asked to sanitize hands upon entering.

Temperature screening is required for Museum entry. Our temperature screening is no-touch, staff will be nearby to guide you. If you register a temperature of 100.4 or higher, you will be asked to wait a minute before completing the temperature screening again. If you are still registering a temperature of 100.4 or higher, you and your entire party will not be permitted to continue through the Museum.

We ask that you leave any extra belongings in your vehicle if possible. For those on foot, limited storage is available.

Please maintain at least 6 feet (2 meters) distance between yourself and other Museum visitors whenever possible.

High-touch areas will be cleaned throughout the day, and visitors will find several hand-sanitizing stations placed conveniently around the Museum.

A route through the galleries has been created to make your experience as enjoyable as possible and avoid crowding in smaller spaces. Following the route, which is marked by easy-to-follow signage throughout the Museum, encourages social distancing and ensures you have time to enjoy all the spaces and exhibitions throughout the building.

Group tours will not be offered until further notice. If a large group visits the Museum, we may ask you to separate into smaller groups to encourage social distancing and make it easier to navigate other visitors in the Museum.

Elevator access is available. Please use the elevator with your immediate party only.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

The Frederic Remington art exhibitions in the Albert and Addie Newell Galleries will be on view. The Richard E. Winter Gallery will be closed until the opening of the New York State Juried Art Exhibit, which is expected to take place on Sept. 19.

Work is expected to be ongoing in the former Remington Estate rooms on the 2nd floor, in preparation for the Sally James Farnham permanent exhibit, generously funded by The Robert F. and Eleonora W. McCabe Foundation. Pleased stay tuned for updates on this exciting new exhibition.
