CANTON – North America's largest environmental film festival is coming to St. Lawrence University Friday, Sept. 17 from 7 to 11 p.m. in Gulick Theater.
Join St. Lawrence University's student Environmental Action Organization as they host the Wild and Scenic Environmental Film Festival On Tour.
Ticket prices are $5 in advance and $5 at the door.
Tickets can be purchased at St. Lawrence Student Center & Brewer Bookstore, Wear on Earth, and GardenShare's stand at the Canton Farmers' Market.
For more information, contact Mary Kohnstamm, mmkohn07@stlawu.edu.
The festival is a natural extension of the Environmental Action Organization's work to inspire people to act on behalf of our environment.
EAO is currently working to ban bottled water on the St. Lawrence University campus as well as raise general awareness of environmentalism not only on campus, but in the region, country and world.
They hope the Wild and Scenic
Environmental Film Festival will be a fun and inspiring way to bring the campus and community together to create further progress. They are also excited to bring the festival for the first time to the state of New York.
Proceeds will be donated to GardenShare and Gulf Aid, an NGO assisting communities in the Gulf Coast.
