CANTON -- A monthly climate action vigil is being started by local environmental groups and activists.
The vigil will be on the corner by the Canton Village Park in Canton on the first Friday of each month from 4-5 p.m. The first vigil will be held on Friday, March 1, from 4-5 p.m.
This ongoing vigil will call attention to the urgent need to prevent and mitigate the effects of climate change, said the organizers in a press release.
Organizers said they are looking to raise the level of discussion on climate change and promote solutions for a sustainable environment.
