CANTON – The Canton Winterfest continues through Saturday with events for the whole family.

At the last moment, SUNY Canton had to cancel its sledding session scheduled for Friday night because of poor snow conditions.
Lots more events are on hand.
For young people, there will be a free movie at the American Theater on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 10 a.m., sponsored by St. Lawrence County Reality Check; a Guitar Hero tournament Friday evening, Feb. 18, sponsored by the Seaway Valley Prevention Council; and twilight sledding Feb. 19.
Popular returning events include several wine tastings and many more opportunities to eat.
There will be the EJ Noble Hospital Guild soup luncheon and the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary fish fry on Friday the 18.
Other highlights include the Grasse River Players’ presentation of the comedy “Postmortem,” Friday and Saturday Feb. 18 and 19, and the huge FFA garage and craft sale in the middle school cafeteria.
