CANTON — The Canton Village Zoning Board of Appeals will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. to receive public comment on an application for a Use Variance at 23-25 W. Main St.
According to a notice about the meeting on the town website, the applicant would like to request a use variance for a non-conforming duplex that has been vacant for more than one year.
Based on Village Code Section 325-49, “whenever a nonconforming use has been discontinued for a period of one year, any future use shall be in conformity to the provisions of this chapter.,” the notice said. The applicant would like to reactivate the property’s usage as a duplex.
The hearing and the subsequent regular meeting of the Zoning Board will be held on the Zoom Cloud Conferencing platform.
