MADRID — The 10th Mountain Division’s full concert band Riva Winds, with 20-25 active duty soldiers, is set to perform at the Madrid Dam Music Series on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at Madrid Municipal Park, 1835 County Route 345.

Welcome message will be at 5:45 p.m. followed by a posting of colors, bagpiper and veteran Robert House and community blessing. The concert will be from 6-8 p.m.

Rain location is St. Lawrence Power and Equipment Museum {SLPEM}, 1755 County Route 345.

There will be a small window of time for public photos after the concert, along with a few presentations with photos.

This is the MDMS annual Veteran's Tribute evening.

Concert organizers invite veterans, active duty, military family members and the public.

This event has no entrance fee and no parking fee.

Madrid Historical Society will have a display of local Madrid military history.

Financial donations will be passed on to the "Pets for Vets" with no adoption fee program. Concertgoers are invited to bring along a few cleaning supplies for the shelter.

Chilled bottles of water and DAM donuts will be offered for sale as supplies last.

Raffle tickets will be offered and the Golden Bucket for donations will be passed.

Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs and snacks.

MDMS is family friendly without smoking, alcohol, or strobe lights.
