GardenShare Holiday Auction kicks off Friday

Posted

CANTON -- GardenShare is offering holiday shoppers an alternative to Black Friday crowds and the chance to keep their buying local, all while supporting a good cause. GardenShare’s first-ever Holiday Auction, featuring more than 70 interesting and original auction items, including local food, art, and craft offerings and North Country experiences, launches Friday, Nov. 26.

A silent auction has been a much-anticipated highlight of GardenShare’s annual dinner, but in another pandemic-prompted pivot from tradition, the amazing auction items will be offered to bidders who can participate virtually from home on their computers or phones.

The link to the bidding platform can be found at www.GardenShare.org. Once registered, bidders can explore the offerings, then start their bidding on Nov. 26. Minimum bids and bidding increments are posted. The auction will remain open for bidding until 5pm on Sunday, Dec. 5.

GardenShare is grateful for the many generous and creative donations that make this important fundraiser possible. All proceeds from the auction support GardenShare’s programs and activities that promote a local food system that ensures food security for all St. Lawrence County residents.
