CANTON – The COVID-19 pandemic has once again forced the Canton Chamber of Commerce to offer a modified version of Canton Winterfest.
This year’s mid-winter event will take place Feb. 3-13 with a theme of “Safe and Warm.”
“This year’s celebration will be memorable and unique. The public’s participation will prove valuable for businesses and organizations and serve as a fantastic opportunity to let the public know what they have to offer,” said the Canton Chamber’s executive director Tammy Mackin.
The annual celebration dinner is once again postponed.
A new event this year will be a Canton Storefront Decorating Contest. All Canton businesses are encouraged to decorate their storefront. Voting for the favorite storefront will take place online.
Businesses interested in participating are asked to register by phone at (315) 386-8522, by email at cantonchamberny@gmail.com on online cantonny.gov/chamber .
The deadline to register is Jan. 31.
The Winterfest schedule can be viewed on the Canton Chamber Facebook page.
The Canton Chamber also notes that Winterfest Buttons are now on sale at numerous businesses throughout Canton. At the conclusion of Winterfest, several winners will be announced in the button drawing.
“The sale of the buttons supports the activities and helps the organizations who are selling buttons,” said Mackin.
