Northern Credit Union has reopened all of their branches, except Carthage.

Starting Monday, Feb. 8 NCU hours and capacity limits at St. Lawrence County branches are as follows:

At the Gouverneur branch:

• Lobby Open: Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

• Drive-thru: Monday-Thursday, 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.; Friday, 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Saturday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m.

• 7 people (members and internal-owners) will be permitted inside each branch at one time.

At the Massena branch:

• Lobby Open: Monday - Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

• 4 people (members and internal owners) will be permitted inside at one time.

If a branch is at capacity, the union will reserve the person’s spot in line, invite them to wait in their vehicle, and come out and get them when they can enter the relationship center. Appointments aren't required but are still encouraged due to capacity limits. To maintain social distancing, select services, including account openings and loan applications, will be completed via smart office.

NCU continues to encourage the use of its digital services whenever possible. For a list of services available digitally, visit mynorthern.com/reopen. Lenders and other team members are available by calling or texting 315-782-0155, Live Chat on the NFU website, or using Video Banking to assist with loans, new account opening, mortgages, and other needs.

At the branches’ Advanced ATMs, people can cash a check, make a loan payment, request a mini-statement, and select cash denominations for withdrawal choosing between fewest, mixed or customized.

NCU will continue increased cleaning and sanitation protocols, social distancing, and ensuring team member wellness following CDC guidelines and for the safety of our members and internal-owner employees. As mandated by NYS law, the credit union will also require masks to be worn in all locations.
