MASSENA -- Breezy Maples Farm is starting their twelfth year selling freshly cut balsam trees and decorations at their farm at 331 Willard Rd, near Louisville.

“I do think having a place where families can build traditions is what brings people back to the farm for different seasons,” said Carrie Kenney, one of the farm owners..

“Whether you are shopping for a tree or just want to get some cute pictures for the holidays, we welcome everyone to stop in and make some new family traditions through the holidays,” she said. “There is no admission fee during the Christmas season and guests are free to stroll the farm and visit the animals. In past holidays we provided free feed cups for guests to feed the animals. Unfortunately, that’s not allowed this year due to COVID regulations, but the animals are still out to welcome everyone.”

Weather-permitting, farm animals out for viewing include turkeys, geese, ducks, chickens, goats, donkeys and horses.

Face masks are required for visitors over 2 years of age.

The farm is open on Fridays 3-7 p.m., Saturdays 12-6 p.m. and Sundays 12-5 There will be extended hours until 8 p.m. Dec. 18 and 19 for viewing the Christmas lights.

“In the evenings, the farm is a spectacular sight with the extra lighting, and many people come just to sip some hot cocoa while enjoying the scenery, and we always have warm fires and complimentary marshmallows for toasting,” said Carrie Kenney.
