WINTHROP — Spectrum recently announced a donation of $500 to Brasher-Winthrop Volunteer Fire Department, as part of the company’s national community philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants, said a press release from the company.
The donation was part of a $1 million programming commitment through year-end 2021, the company said.
The funds will be used to purchase an Industrial Hard Mount Washer-Extractor and associated dryer for use towards the maintenance of PPE for firefighter health and safety during these times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“On behalf of the Brasher-Winthrop Fire Department, I would like to thank Spectrum for their contribution and for the support of our Fire Department, its volunteers and our community,” said Chief Patrick Kowalchuk.
