Gary D. Sharpe, 67, Waddington

WADDINGTON -- Gary D. Sharpe who was born on May 11, 1956, to the late David L. Sharpe and Kathleen G. Sharpe, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday February 22, 2024, of natural causes at his home.

Gary was a lifetime resident of Waddington, NY, graduating from Madrid-Waddington High School in 1974.

Gary had a love for fishing and music, acquiring a large collection of vintage records, and enjoyed reading, especially about early American Indian history.

Gary resided at Hamilton gardens in Waddington, NY, where he was known to help the other residents with their daily routines.

Besides his parents, Gary was proceeded by two sisters, Davalene Layng (2019), Peggy Tomah (1985) and his brother, Brian Sharpe (2015).

Gary is survived by his sister, Cheryl Wilcox and husband, Louis of Wassaic, NY, and his brother in-law, Robert Layng of Ogdensburg, NY, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be no public calling hours or funeral services at this time.

A graveside service will take place in Brookside Cemetery in Waddington, NY on Monday, May 20, 2024, at 1:00pm.
