OGDENSBURG -- A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael Ralph King, 75, of Ogdensburg will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2024, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
Mr. King died on Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Upstate Medical Center, with his wife by his side.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Michael R. King was born on May 6th, 1948, in Ogdensburg, NY.
He was the son of the late Leland and Elizabeth (O’Hare) King.
He was a 1967 graduate of St. Mary’s Academy, a 1969 graduate of SUNY Morrisville and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Lemoyne College in 1971.
Michael worked as the Director of Internal Audits for Kinney Drugs.
He was previously married to Deborah Powers from 1972 until 1985.
On May 21st, 1994, he married Jennie Reed at the Methodist Church in Canton.
He loved to play golf at the Prescott Country Club and hunting with his son and cousin. He was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan.
One of his greatest joys was traveling the world with his wife and family, visiting foreign countries like Russia, Israel, and Ireland to name a few.
He is survived by his wife, Jennie King and his children, Michael King and his companion, Raquel Scott, of Ogdensburg, Erin King of Ogdensburg, and Mary Morley and her husband, Richard, of Ogdensburg. His step children; Deborah Wilkinson and her husband, Jeff of Three Mile Bay, Patricia Mason of Canton and Ashley Rayburn and her husband, Jason of Lisbon also survive him. He also is survived by his grandchildren; Bailey King, Emma King and her fiancé, William Barse, Charlie Morley, Grace Wilkinson, Kian Rayburn, Liam Rayburn, Jeffery King, and Luke King and a great-grandson on the way, Vincent James Barse.
He was predeceased by his parents, Leland and Elizabeth King and his son, James King.
