Dean Leonard Woodward, 61

We celebrate the life of Dean Leonard Woodward, dearly loved by family and friends. Dean passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 23, 2024, and went to be with his beloved Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

The world was blessed with his birth on September 24, 1962, and was a son of the late Arthur and Marilyn “Joan” (Morgan) Woodward.

He graduated from Kendall Central High School in 1980 and joined the Marine Corp to serve his country and be a member of the United States Marine Corp Band.

Dean devoted his life to kindness and helping others in both his work and personal life.

He had a great appreciation for the outdoors and could often be found hiking, kayaking, gardening, bird watching and appreciating the beauty of riverside living.

His demeanor, humor, laughter and support was appreciated by all that knew him.

Dean is survived by his siblings, Kent (Karen) Morgan of Groton, NY, Ross Woodward of Portland, ME, Jackie Woodward of Churchville, NY, Robynn Woodward of Plattsburgh, NY, step-mother, Bonnie Danforth of Potsdam, NY; and lifelong close family friends, James Janowski of Lackawanna, NY and his sister Maryann Conrad of Derby, NY; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father and mother, Arthur and Marilyn, he was predeceased by a younger sister, Christine Elizabeth Woodward.
