I've prepared a petition for the Village of Potsdam government to include vaporizers in smoke-free laws. This has been urged nationwide by the American Lung Association and the American Heart Association, and has passed in eight states and hundreds of towns. Vaping is a rapidly growing trend with alarming appeal to children--more are now trying that than smoking cigarettes. Reducing locations people may vape prevents kids from seeing their use as normal while protecting the air we breathe. Despite industry claims, these are tobacco products and need to be regulated as such. This is one small step toward that goal.
