This week is the regional forum meetings where the BOCES District superintendent will reveal the results of his study to close high schools and create regional high schools. The wizard has recognized that all other BOCES are cutting staff and this is his plan to protect his job and his lackeys, the people who couldn’t get jobs in public schools. We know the study questions were slanted; how can we trust this presentation? When will the media investigate BOCES, their programs, administrators and salaries? This is an expensive part of local school budgets that raise our taxes. We need to take off our emerald colored glasses and remove the curtain. The wizard is relying on distorted facts, fears, and economy to promote his agenda to protect himself at our expense. We have what we need right here in our local communities; don’t be fooled by the illusion of the wizard.
